I am going to look at a 09 RTX with 61 miles on her for $8,200.00 or buy an SE with 5,500 miles for $7,500.00. I am leaning towards the RTX. Anyone have an opinion of which one to buy and why? Any input would be much appreciated.

The prices seem to be a little high from what I have seen for sale on this site. I have been looking for a similar machine also and if it were me, I would go with the RTX with 61 miles. There was a 09 SE on here a few months ago that was $7500 with a ton of extras with I think about 3500 miles. And a 09 RTX with 1800 miles, with some extras for $6500 just to give you a idea about prices. Do a search for whatever you would want to know about either model and you will find endless information on the nytro page.

The shocks on the SE are really nice, especially the evols on the front. But at 5,500 miles its going to need a few hundred dollars worth of maintenance.
I've seen brand new nytros rtx and xtx sell for under 8k around here. Does the rtx have the 4 year warranty? Besides the price being a little high, I think the rtx is the better deal.

Thanks for your responses. The RTX does not have an extended warranty, but I can add it. I think I am going to go with the RTX, it will be a second sled. Oh, I forgot to add that is comes with an 1.5" track.

Well I pulled the trigger last night. This sled was perfect. It had some addons that seemed nice. One thing that surprised me was the aftermarket track. It appears to me to be a 1.75" paddle track. I am hoping it will be good in the trails. I believe it will be fun off trail. Anyone have experience with this size track on the trail? I don't think I can studd this.

I always run 1.75 lug tracks and I don't think I could go back. But then again I also never stud my tracks.
They are great off trail and I've never had a problem with them on the trail as well.

If it is a 1.75 or even a 1.5 you won't be able to stud it. If you post a picture we could probably tell you what track it is.
It'll be good on the trail...just bad on the ice with no studs! Generally, the taller lug won't last as long as the shorter lug, but thats expected.

Thank you. I think this track is a called a Backcountry. Anyone have any seat time with one of these? It looks great for off trail, I am hoping for it to be good on trail.

Yeah I think you are right, that looks like a Backcountry track. That is one heck of a snow flap!

OK, I think I need more of a trail track. Anyone have any opinions as to what I should get? I ride mostly 90% and like to off trail whenever possible. I talked with Tracks USA and they really like the Cobra or the Intense.
