I have no idea when My XR 1200 X is coming in. My dealer says maybe mid November or maybe not. I don't blame you for being pissed. I would demand twice My money back if I were you! Then you can go order a Doo and wait like Me!

They are very understanding to the " pick-up and delivery deadline " and offered 100% of my deposit back.

Id rather have a late build sled than an early one anyday. Waiting sucks but hey its a part of life!

Since the SE is the sled you want - wait for it! Be smart and try to turn the situation to your advantage. Express to the dealer as well as Yamaha that you are not impressed with the delivery date, and that you want some kind of compensation. Ask for accessories or some other kind of discount.

Don't know what the big deal is. My sled was sitting at the dealer in a box for 6 weeks. I agreed to pick it up by Oct. 31st and I did. If it wasn't there until Dec. I wouldn't have had to pay for it until it landed.
In the fall of 04 I was waiting for a new Renegade 800X that I had spring ordered and it didn't show until the 20th. of December. We got 2 feet of snow between Christmas and New Years and I would have been ultra pissed if my sled hadn't been in then! Relax, wait for the snow and ride the sled that you ordered, it will seem like it was worth the wait then....

Its funny you say that because many, many years ago ford motor co. had a commercial showing a f-250 climbing over a very large rock pile and a family member said " yeah that would be that truck I would get ".Daranello said:

I do not think you have to worry about that.
The show sleds are usually prototypes.
They are either destroyed as soon as the show tour is over, or get a life as test sled at the R&D center...

I told them thankyou and at this point I would wait because as a lot of you said, I ordered it because I want it . How ever I expressed that if by the end of november I'm still being told 2-3 more weeks than no deal.

If any one else has not got there SE yet there comeing in my dealer got 2 SE in 11-5-08 one is mine picking it up friday they are comeing in just slow!
