have an 09 venture GT I cant seem to get the handling correct, it wants to tip in the corners bad. I have loosened the pre load on ski shocks, tightened the limiter strap one notch from max, to try and get the machine to sit as low as possible. I realise this sled is very heavy and tall but have read some people say there sled handles great. have heard changing skis will help but cant understand how. could it be in the torsion bars? can I buy heavier ones? rear torsion springs are at min. also but are very heavy springs, two up with my wife total around 280 lbs and springs dont hardly move when we get on. are there aftermarket springs to buy? love the motor and ride is pretty good even with stiff springs, but the handling takes the fun out of riding. please help

well you could upgrade the sway bar to a larger one like a 12mm or 13mm. my brothers 2013 rs venture gt has the 12mm stock and with the 09 apex mtx skis on it it will come up in the corners when it bites hard or riding agessively.

- Bought a new 05 Vector which I still have
24K miles
FWIW - I've felt for a long time that the Vector chassis needs slightly heavier front shock springs. If memory serves, somebody told me to try Apex front springs because they are heavier. Never tried them...too many other things to deal with. Might have been Travis at Barn of Parts.
I heavier (thicker) torsion bar will help as well.

I've lived this problem, more than once with Yamaha, as have friends and relatives.
Yamaha sets the front shock in the rear suspension for a 500lb driver!
Raise the rear suspension off the ground.
Loosen the spring retaining nuts around the front shock of the rear suspension.
Back off these nuts until the spring is loose, almost rattling!
I've never adjusted a limiter strap, ever, in my 4000 miles a year, 30 years experience.
Tighten those nuts again, and you're good to go.

where do you get the bigger sway bar and what works to get the rider height down lower and no tippiness?well you could upgrade the sway bar to a larger one like a 12mm or 13mm. my brothers 2013 rs venture gt has the 12mm stock and with the 09 apex mtx skis on it it will come up in the corners when it bites hard or riding agessively.

barn of parts for the swaybar. he will probably have the 13 mm in stock.
front ski arms almost parallel to the ground by adjusting the springs on the ski shocks.
other than that, there is not too much more you can do to these sleds. i tend to like a less agressive ski on it so it pushes a bit in the corners before it tends to lift a ski.
