I did 4800 kilometers on the Intense 1.5" in my -08 RTX 40th. Clearly better on and off trail traction compared to the OEM joke. In fact, off trail it is not even a comparison...Good durability, no missing lugs or broken lugs. This track would be my second choice as I found the Back Country to work even better in my conditions.

1.5" track will fit without any modifications to tunnel or protectors? Thought about upgrading from stock track. Are they more of a paddle track versus the ripsaw design?

1.5 Camoplast Intense gives great performance on and off the trail. Bites hard on groomed trail, great for rough stuff and the deep stuff.
There is no comparison with the oem ripsaw with the Intense, the lugs are more solid, thicker and hold up better on the Intense. You won't be disappointed. Will lose some top end but hey you have to give up something...

If you leave the stud protectors in, there is not really enough room to run the Intense 1.5". Some people will run it anyway, but the lugs will rub the stud protectors quite bad. The proper way would be to remove the stud protectors.
If you want to leave the stud protectors in, you have got one more possibility with the Intense 1.5" - notch the lugs where they meet the stud protectors. Use a sharp utility knife (with silicone lubrication) to remove the w-pattern found on the lugs that meet the stud protectors, then the lugs will just clear the stud protectors.
