Do rails need to be trimmed for 9 tooth extroverts

No pic of the trimming. I do have one of the clearance on a XTX, after rail trimming though.
I just R+R the plastic end cap, cut approx 5/16" off the rail. Then re-shaped the end of the rail with a sanding disc to match the original shape, (so the cap would fit back on). Drilled some new holes for the cap,and re-rivited it back on.
I cut the front of the hyfax, however if I was going to do another one, I think I would just slide the hyfax back, and drill/tap a new hole for the set screw. Then cut the length off the back end.

Thanks MTN, now I'm gina have to pull my shocks out and see how close it gets. I put the wahl bros on mine but I can't imagine they'll be any different than yours. I'll be checking.
