Has anyone ordered and used the new '10 yamaha two bolt idler mounts on an 06-09 Mono Skid? I assume I could use the same accessory idler wheel.
I could only find the part numbers on the Port Yamaha's '10 Vector fiche.
http://www.portyamaha.com/fiche_section ... fveh=37052
The 4 front two bolt mounts are 8CM-47419-10-00
the 2 rear two bolt mounts are 8CM-47419-30-00

well YES and NO...
was setting up a buddies with DOO 2 bolt mounts(like my sled) and dealer said we should use yammies '10 mounts.
they are much more expensive, however they are not cast like DOOS and can never crack since they are solid billet.
what i did find is they are not exact same size as the stock 06-09 mounts...so be aware that they do not seem to put the wheel out where it should be,so for the INNER wheels this might be bad, while on outer wheels its ok.
remember 2 bolt mounts are only needed at 4 locations on 06-09s....inners,and front outers...
the other location the mounts are on the steel part of mono skid,so they do not flex.
IMO the 5 or 6 dollar BRP mounts are the best bet, much cheaper and work well..

Thanks so much for the info! I saw and like your upgrade, but I'm not convinced the bigger Doo wheels are a safe way to go. (IMHO, it seems that the larger wheel would put more stress on the rail than a stock wheel, but that's just my opinion.) I was hoping to do the same kind of thing you did, but stay with standard yamaha sized wheels and bearings. Two bolt holes would spread the load better than one.ROCKERDAN said:what i did find is they are not exact same size as the stock 06-09 mounts...so be aware that they do not seem to put the wheel out where it should be,so for the INNER wheels this might be bad, while on outer wheels its ok.

My rails cracked at the rear inners. So that was where I was thinking of focusing a replacement. Now I need to think unless I can get some measurements. Once I put some extra idlers at the bend of the rails, my hyfax problems are a thing of the past, so that is another reason i'm staying away from larger wheels. That, and I'm still under warranty.
Thanks
Dan

Personally i hate the design of the 2010 mono 2 TWO bolt mounts....
once again yammie has to do thing differently then the simple BRP mounts,..the yammie mounts cost near 4 times what brps do!
and the design has a bushing and two large washers, and all the pressure is based on the bolts itself, and i just think this design is not nearly as good.
larger wheels have made hundreds of members sleds work much better, yammie is the only company using 130mm wheels, and just so happens they also have the worst slide wear....
135mm wheels solve alot of problems...but that is just my opinion.
