1000 miles on my vector all bushings junk, Needless to say I am not to happy. all bulk head bushing are wear out or just gone. were the arms connect to the spindels bushings in the back are gone and bolts bent. the rod on the w arm on the skid is worn were there was bushings, I am sure Yamaha will say its a wear item, the second set of wheels in the skid are junk. I dont think these hold up to the weight of the motor. :die :die :die

Thats weird but I had 2300 miles on my Warrior and pulled the skid prior to season just because the stories I heard about the bushings and they all were in like-new condition. The only two that showed even the slightest wear were the upper W-arm bushings. I grease like crazy. I go through about 1.5 big tubes of grease a season.

It suck's that the gease zerts are welded on the skid I had one take a crap on my vector.

That's pretty typical. Monoshock skids are prone to wear also. With 2300 miles on my 05 vector I made all metal bushings when the plastic ones wore out. the bearings go bad very early also because they are sealed but not covered over. Check out the ski-doo bearings. they are double sealed and much less likely to fail. IMO Yamaha lightened the sled way too much to make up for the weight of the stroker motor. Still a good sled and gets nice fuel mileage. :bling

Over 4000 miles on my Vector and everthing bushing wise is in great condition. I also grease like crazy.
I grease mine every time I ride it. The bushing look good untill you pull the bolts out of the bulk head . I thought mine were fine, I glad I took a look as a few more hundred miles and the bulk head would have been junk to.
I had a 03 rx-1 with same problem only I didnt catch it in time and it oveld out the bulk head. I am thinking of having brass bushings made, I dont see any sence in putting the Yamaha ones back in.

Pioneer has a Nylatron bushing kit for $60(16 pcs) on page three. I have no personal experience with the nylatron except I put them in my trailing arm sled this year, but haven't taken the skid or front end apart to see how they did. Much tighter clearances when new. Just an option.

That might be worth a try. I like the sled other than these issuies

I'm also looking into those when I need to replace mine. Season's over, so I plan on pulling my skid soon for a good inspection and to finally replace those idlers that have been worn out since last season.
