My 03 shorty went 119.8 (133 on speedo) on a Stalker gun in approx. 2000 ft. track. It has Hauck cams, K&N fliters (Raptor syle), overdrive sheave and geared down 38/22. I tried a Boondocker Nitrous kit a month ago but burned the rings up after 8 bottles of juice. ($1200 to fix). I jerked that baby off! For sale $800.00. Put it on a 2 stroke.

peakperf,
What do you think caused the ring problem? Did you hold the button to long? Just wondering. I have a boondockers kit but did not install it yet.
You got me scared.

Hey peak, are you out there?
I was also wondering what you used for jetting, plugs, fuel, and timing. Just curious what other people are using for a baseline.
I would appreciate any info.
Thanks

Peak,
Is that the same set up you ran with the boondockers? What about the rings? Did you have the manifolds adjusted correctly? Did you hold the button too long? Were you using the three hole or four hole orifices. Sorry for all the questions, and once again thanks for the info.

I had all of the screws out and everything was seup correctly. My guess is the "HOT CDI" is what did it in. In addition to the advanced timing it also uncapped the rev limiter and it instantly jumped 12000 RPM! That took the rings out of the left cylinder. With the stock CDI it ran good but it "HIT" the rev limiter when I pushed the button which is like retarding the timing. Bottom line: Don't mess with the timing and the nitrous will probably work fine.
