I have a 2012 Apex 128" standard. My dealer took up the limiter strap 3 holes, but I still have too much ski lift when coming out of corners. While sitting on sled, I still have slack in the strap.

Do you remember how many holes you went up on yours? On my Doos, I never ended up 4-5 holes up, maybe 2 or 3.

Does 4 or 5 sound like a lot? Getting used to my 1st Yamaha.

Am I missing an adjustment, or keep going up holes on strap? maybe a little more spring pressure on front springs??

Reduce the transfer on the transfer rod.

Sleds come stock with limiter fully extended. Most of us pull it up only one hole.

You need to drive a Yamaha 4 stroke different than a Doo in a corner. Once you get past the corner apex roll on the throttle ,don't hammer it.

You want the front low to lower the Centre of Gravity, not higher. Front springs should be loose enough they almost rattle .

My strap has only one hole left. If you loosen your front spring too far on the newer Apexs the front end will roll terribly. I found you have to have at LEAST the factory setting for minimum preload wich is 4-3/4 in from the top eyelet. I set my front so the springs would just rattle when I put my Pioneer adjusters on and the sled rolled like crazy--it felt like my swaybar was broken.

I was in the same spot this past weekend.. too much inside ski lift and push in the corners. I ended up with the limiter in the center holes, transfer rod adjusted also to the center and floats set to 65 psi. (I weigh about 235# suited up)

After trying several limiter strap settings, front float air pressures and transfer rod adjustments, I installed a 13mm sway bar. The sway bar made a significant improvement. The machine cornered MUCH flatter and with the right ski pressure it railed.

The above mentioned settings provided more ski pressure than I was running on my 07, but now with EPS assisting in the turning and feedback you can throw as much weight and sway control at it as you wish. I was most impressed with the minimal additional feedback in the handle bars after adding the heavier sway bar. On the 07 I couldn't stand all the additional feedback and reinstalled the stock bar after a short time.

Time to start reading your owner's manual. In it, you'll find how to adjust the suspension settings and what effect each adjustment accomplishes.

Very surprised that a Dealer would pull up the limiter strap before adjusting the transfer rod, let alone 3 holes. Personally, I'd return the limiter strap to stock, or just one hole tighter.

Shorten your transfer rod...it's all in the owner's manual.

I will look at my manual (which I havent done).

When I sit on my sled (limiter 3 holes up), I still have a bunch of slack in the strap......

I know they (dealer) tweaked my transfer rod as well.....

I'll just have to play with it I guess. I HATE ski lift!!!

Riding with a 1200X 2013 Doo yesterday, getting smoked in the turns (woods)......something aint right!!

So tonight I went all the way up on limiter, no help (or minor). So I drilled TWO more holes. Went for a ride and the limiter strap was STILL LOOSE (not tight) with me on sled (I'm 210).

Gonna go back a few holes on limiter and play with transfer rod.

I'll get it.

Are you getting ski lift from too much transfer or too much body roll?

Good question. I would guess ski lift (transfer). I have been on ski doos (new ones every year) for a while.....I know just what to Doo on those....this one has me confused.

When taking corners, I need more presure on the skis......the sled pushes big time.

i`m with ya Dootoblue...my sled pushed like hell too...I`m going to play with my Transfer rod to MIN next to see if that helps

Gave up already Dootoblue? I see you're trying to sell it already.
