Whitey, you're all full of good news! Good thing I'm not deer hunting this year.
Dealer just emailed me and said XTX is exactly 7 inches longer than STD.
7 inches all in tunnel extension. Wish I was up north so I could measure tunnel extension length on my LTX to see the diff.

Just trying to get you to think about Yam 14s & possible platform change. You put on so few miles with low snow I thought you were considering etec as possiblity so don't have to change oil every year. My 150 Etec outboard has performed really well & winterizes it self. I'm still 4s all the way with sleds but I put on lots of miles.

White - I give you a ton of credit for resisting the temptation to buy a new sled with all the riding you do.
This is really the correct financial thing to do, as these sleds really haven't changed all that much in the last few years.
So I understand your point about changes in 2014, and waiting for that, BUT.......
How much do we really think is going to change with Yamaha 4S tech? I think there's limits to what they can do with weight without completely redesigning the motor.
And I wouldn't buy a 2014 anyways, at least not in year one. Wait for the bugs to be worked out, and that's years down the road.
Only reason I'm looking at something new is the deal I'm getting. This dealer I work with is really high volume and aggressive with pricing.
Plus I don't think he's too happy I bought from another dealer last year. He just didn't have what I needed, and a dealer I've never been able to get a good price from, actually came through.
I'm sleeping on this for a bit as that seems to clarify the decision for me.
But I am leaning toward the XTX now, as people seem to like them and the deal is better.
Bottom line is, there really is no reason to replace the LTX GT. It's a great sled and has low miles.
Plus this weather has me sobering up a bit. I got a bad feeling about our weather pattern. All I need is a new sled and then no snow.

I have a 2011 XTX, you won't be dissapointed. Came off an 07 RTX and 06 attak before that . . . . . night and day
