Thanks =you guys(badluck/turbomark)-more places to race means you need to go faster and faster etc I think rxboost05's got a good combo that I can run all season-how many studs can I get in that track? Tunnel protection's a good thought my 1.325s hit now-I assume they'll hit more with more?

millstreet, sorry I kind of took your thread over, RXBOOST05 has a good set up. And I agree you really cant have the best of both worlds.
But if we have a winter like last year I'll just keep the drag track on. But I would be interested in meeting up some time trail or ice!

millstreet, rx set up sounds real good cause if we get snow like old forge used to get then ur gonna wanna ride alot of trails. the 1 in with 1.325 sounds good. it is so hard to get the right combo when u want the best of both worlds. we all definatly got to hook up this winter. wont be long now boys. i think 196 studs in a 121 track is a good set up

You're right if I really want to go fast I need to build a drag sled-however I got spanked by a very trail looking machz-can't have that-I think with better traction I can hold my own and be trailable-196 megas and switch to ice picks when need be? Will I need better drivers I plan to loosen the limiter staps and lengthen the transfer rod-Am I going in the right direction?

Did you change the stock gearing? And are your clutchs working for you? A mack z shouldn't of been wiping you that bad. Or was he getting you out of the hole and you couldn't real him in? My sled stock I would get beat by the might mach 2-3 length in a 1000 ft. Went down 1 tooth from 24/38 to 23/38 and changed the secondary spring to the white mountain spring (As from another thread on this site) and I was takeing him by 2-3 lengths. He was not very happy after that. So it's like you said, it's either traction or the Z wasn't even close to stock or booth. myo

196 megas with a 1 in track should be good if you can get 3/8 or1/2 penetration into ice over track lug. use doo extroverts and a little transfer will definatley help not alot though even though wheelies are fun it takes away from power on the ground.

Thanks -Was a traction problem-I reeled everyone in but too little too late-I had Ulmer supply and help me set up clutching & went one tooth larger on the top gear-I think with a better track/studs -we'll get together Big Moose, Lanzi , Otis maybe? see how it hooks

millstreet , I talked to you last year, I just got finished with my s/c install and dynoe'd the sled yesterday, it has a fuel issue but other than that it will be good to go,will see you up there,
Art
On that traction issue ,I am running 200 plus 1.625 on the attak and have had no issue's as of yet but that was with no boost, so I'll see what happen's now.
