My buddy has a 2008 skidoo gsx 600 and was thinking of buying my ice ripper from me if I were to do something different with my sled. His spec is a 15x120 ripsaw. My Ice Ripper is a 121" track. Does anyone have experience swapping tracks like this. anyone think that extra 1/2" in length with be adjustable in the rear skid of the skidoo? And maybe vise-versa? will a 120" track fit into a 121" skid? Kid of a silly question but would be good to know if it came down to it.
Regards,
Kyle

Suspension is not the issue, track pitch is key! 2.86 vs 2.52. Change drivers and they will fit each other.

yeah I didn't get that far into my research to see if that would be an issue yet. I suppose it wouldn't be worth it then $ wise because the money he'd save on the track would get invested into the drivers.

I'm running a 2.52 pitch 1.375" sno pro 121" track on my new doo. Bought Avid 9 tooth 2.52 pitch drivers, they were about $265 shipped. The 1" longer track fits on new problem, there is enough room on the adjusters to make up for it. But you do have to switch drivers.

Found a killer deal on a 2" challenger track, in new condition, for $250. So that deal right there paid for the Avid drivers. Then I found another 1.375 sno pro track in new condition with almost new 240 studs in it, for $200...score!

If your buddy is planning on keeping his sled for a long time, and goes through a lot of tracks, then I recommend the switch. If his tracks last him forever...probably not worth it.
