doing a 136"conversion with a m-10 rear, should i change gearing or clutching?

road today and have never really paid attension to the tack before but it will hit 10,000 then drop to 9800 and hold

got a feeling with the extra load of the 136" 1 1/4 solid lug track its going to drop even mor rpm

ecp kit /evac and bender exhaust are the only upgrades i have made so far

got a trip planned next weekend and sled works good right now but i got all the parts ready to put in so i wana get it converted by thursday night, if im going to have clutching or gearing problems i wana fix it rite off the bat not find out about them 6 hours from home and have to put up with it not right all weekend

anyone have this setup or have advice, thanks in advance for the input

Gear down 1 tooth on the upper sprocket to 23/38.

? on the rear mount point of m-10, why can i not use a grinder carefully and notch the heat exchanger to get the bolt in and out , instead of bolting it to the bracket and the to the tunnel like the directions say

the heat exchanger is not very thick so be very carefull

i did grind the heat exchanger , now u can get the bolts in and out with out removing the stock brackets, i also put the four rivets that u have to drill out to move the brackets forward back in

i seen clutch info somewhere but after a hour of searching i will just ask again and see if someone knows

i was seeing 9800 rpm and it would hold, after the m-10 and 1 1/4 solid lug camoplast it was more like 9500 and hold after 90 on speedo it would climb to 10,000 / 100mph real slow , so i remove tip rivet from clutch weight and ground the bigger end of the rivet off the next rivet, now will do 10,000 and hold, didnt have enough lenght to get over 70, should i remove the other rivet completely? is that little bit more going to bring up another 500 rpm, am i waisting my time by modifing the stock weights to get rpm to 10200 to 10500 range, would i be better off getting a clutch kit of some type?

I am geared and when I bought my sled I purchased parts to grass race it. In the kit were Haucks adjustable Launching weights I pull 10700 then back to 10500 and usually pull 118 - 120 mph. Still a shorty with 240 studs though.

I have the ulmer kit in my warrior, and it goes to 10,500 then down to 10,400. It is wicked fast to 100, and keeps pulling till you run out of room. I have seen 119 on the speedo, with me weighing 320 with gear. The next sled i own will have the ulmer kit in it before anything else. They also have the best cutomer service there si. they know the super tip set up, and exactly what is needed to gt you right on th #'s. You tell them your weight sled and ridding style and they send them pre set up for you. Mine was spot on right out of the box. Maxdlx
