How did the 136" track conversion using just the rail extensions and not relocating the skid affect the steering and front shock/ limiter adjustments? Any information would be handy after a season of riding. I have an 03, won't be able to upgrade for a couple years so this will be a happy medium.

I did the full rails, same location. I love it. It handles well and rides great. I will never go back to a 121" again. I did not make any changes to the setup from one to another except for grearing and secondary.

Same here, I did the extension and did not relocate the skid...everything worked great this year and it rode alot better. There is more push in the corners due to the longer track but you can just bring the limiters up a little and get rid of that. Best money I've spent on a sled ever!!

The one thing That I am not sure of is that it improves the ride. You don't change the mounting position of the skid in the tunnel or the mounting position of the shocks or arms in the skid. Basically you have the same suspension with longer rails. If you compare to the warrior, the transfer rods mount about 7" further back in the Warrior. This has to make a bigg difference in how the skid couples and transfers. You do gain more footprint and traction. I can't really say it rides all that much better. I have about 1400 miles on mine since the switch. I do like the 9838 track alot.
I think I will be putting a Cat suspension in, if I can find one. I'm not sure if I will extend it to 136'.

I agree with Buckeye on the point that I don't think it rides much better. It may bridge some bumps but it is not a Warrior. I realize there is a different rear shock and a softer seat on the Warrior but that rearward mounting point for the control rods and shock is key. I find slightly more push up front in corners but better railing VS lack of traction and steering corrections with the 121". I noticed way more traction and thus way more transfer with the 136" with the 9834 on it; I had to adjust the rods for less transfer. If you plan on keeping your '03 for a couple more years then I would recommend changing the suspension in a major way if ride quality is a concern to you. Maybe a 136 expert? Different shocks and springs? The longer track is a real benefit in deep snow or slush conditions that we have had this year though.
