i have a 121 apex gt and want to extend it. what length is better for trail riding and lake racing. Will the 144 slow down my top speed?

And there is certainly a HUGE advantage of the 144 over the 136.... the 144 has SOLID RAILS, not 121" rails with extensions. I'm running an 03 with the 144 and am geared 23/42 with overdriven clutches. Top end is fine, but what's really amazing is how fast it gets there.
If you're looking for a 144" ripsaw, I've got one F/S (I'm looking for something better off trail).
Also, you've got to remember that the 144" rails are only 4" longer than the 136 - really not that much.

I can't comment on the 144, it may be better/worse than the 136", probably have to drive both to see. I do enjoy my 136" version much more so than any 121 I've ever ridden.
