I found a decent 2003 RX-1 mountian sled. But I don't need the long track. So wo
uld like to shorten it up. Can I just buy rails or us a warrior skid needed. It us it even worth shortning

i would go with an xtx 144" skid. it is tipped up rails to make it handle like a 136" but floats like a 144" off trail. that way you would not need to shorten the tunnel extension.

thanks for the reply. I am in debate on buying this rx1 with 1700 miles or a 02 viper with 1300 miles on it

Keep in mind that the rx-1 mountain has a narrower stance than a shorty or warrior.Also a little less travel with shorter front shocks.I've been running my mountain on trails for years now.I would keep the 151 and pick up a set of wider a-arms and shocks.I cut my paddles down to 1.5.The long track works well with all that torque.The rx mountain also has gearing and clutching for high altitude from the factory.Jetting is the same as shorty or warrior.
