Many of you have a 159" track and have said you like it. I would like some response from those who have one and like it and WHY. Does it give better handling? Better ride? Better floatation? etc. Can you really tell a difference?

I would also like a response from those who may have tried 159 and DIDN'T like it. And WHY.

Lastly, has anyone tried a 144 in the mountains?

Thanks in advance for your replys.

The 159 has alot more floatation and haven't notice alot of ride difference on a bumpy trail. Just remember that the longer the track the harder it will stop and the more it will push you into a corner. In the deep stuff it takes a little getting used to as you have to get it turned before you really get into the throttle.

WB,

You couldn't get me to go back to the 151 if you paid me. Will I guess that depends on how much you are paying :-)

It floats extremely well. I notice it the most when boondocking. You can go slower and not have to worry about trying to go a million miles an hour to keep from getting stuck. Instead you can go slower and pick your way through the trees.

Another thing that will help you is a little more track sticking out the back to help take away that "I'm going to flip over backwards" feeling your turbo is giving you.

also- the 159" track is a harder compund (80 Durometer) which improves traction in most situations.

I have heard some bad reports on the 162. A die hard Cat lover that I know HATES the 162. He says it just doesn't hook up good and coming down a hill it is like riding a tabagon (speeling?). I don't know if it is the 3" pitch or maybe to soft, but he sure down't like it.

PB was telling me the guy with the RX-1 with the 162 loved it. He was saying it worked well for the RX. It would be nice to hear from others with the 162. Maybe another post. Didn't mean to hijack this one.

I have heard the same comments that Spray mentioned about the 162 Cat track. I too would like to hear info from anyone who has tried it on a RX-1. I'd sure love the weight savings (~12lbs over a 159). People are saying the 159s on the Revs climb alot better. Are you RX-1 159ers finding the same? I'd also like to hear from anyone who doesn't like the 159 and why.

The REV 159 climbs better because it is 16" wide. That would be like a footprint of a 168 x 15". Too bad someone doesn't make a kit to put the 16" track on the RX.
