I want to replace my 153" maverick track on my 08 nytro mtx with a challenger 153" track. There are alot of Arctic cat take-offs for sale in various swap meets. Is the arctic cat challenger identical to the standard challenger, or are the AC paddles softer. My goal is to find something with stiffer paddles than the maverick. Thanks

I was going to go this route...I think it's a good economic choice. The paddles on the A/C Challenger Extremes are stiffer than the Mavericks, but not as stiff as the 2.5" Challenger Extreme. I think it's a good in-between compound, more versatile than either but not as snow-specific as the 2.5" CE.....what I mean is, there will be some days where the snow condition is optimum for the 2.5" CE and you will notice it, whereas I think the A/C pulloff will be more consistent but not as ideal as the 2.5" CE in certain conditions. Clear as mud?

Thanks. I think I'll try one of the AC take offs. It's going on a nytro that I anticipate will be ridden more for trail riding than steep and deep.
