1st Major in 25+

I’ve had my first major mis-hap since snowmobiling for 25+ years. I hit a tree with the 05 RS Venture. I’m no worse for wear but the sled has damage on the left side just on the A-arms. I need a few more minor parts but, the question is, will any other bulk head fit, or is the one that’s on the 05 RS Venture exclusive? Thanks! Greg

I would say any rs or rx sled - looks like there is a variance in the part number 8FA-W2197-10-00
and 8FA-W2197-00-00 i dont know what the differences are between the two.

Good luck - just did the same with my 06 vector. Had to split the bulkhead and change it out along with A arms and steering rod etc. Wanted it back quick so took it in and had all new parts installed. Had it back in 4 days but had to sit down to look at the bill.
Oh well at least I am back on the snow and enjoying it.
Oh yes just for the record it was my first serious mishap also since I started driving in the early 70"s. Few other minor scratches, dents and scrapes but nothing serious. Like you never got even a scratch on me.

I did the same with my Rage. I bought it back from the insurance, parted it out. In the mean time I bought a 07 Apex mnt with blown motor. So after takeing the 2 apart, I feel that the frames and bulkheads are the same. I had to take the part the exhaust and the rear motor mount goes too, and replace it on the Apex (offtrail ROCK I guess). They swped out perfect. Yamaha just put a block off plate in the piece for the 4th hole, drilled 2 rivits and have 4 holes again. Many of these parts are interchangable. Good way for a company to mak money. The plastics are totaly different, but the frames are the same. The main tunnels are the same also.

UP Brett, are you putting your Rage motor in the Apex or rebuilding the Apex motor? G.B.
