Coming off a 2008 800 Gade that was set-up with Exit shocks all around, and all mods from Kory Reed, sled handled very well! .....but after 600o miles I knew I needed to make a decision. So......this is my update after 500 miles.
1)Suspension. -Fox 3's
- Set at 68lbs seems to be sweet spot
-Pleasantly surprised & think I'll stick with these for a while
-Rears
-Handled big stuff great, but very stiff, too stiff!
-had both center and rear re-valved .........sweeeeeeet!
2)Ergos. - better than o8 and still better than 15's(Doos)
- warmer, better seating, better standing
3)Clutching. - needs some work
- engagement @ 4200......Whaaaat?
- top speed 92.........Wait Whaaaaaat? (not a lake racer but got passed by a 600etec!)
-Corner to corner- I don't believe the Gade would stand a chance!
4)Cosmetics. - Best looking sled on the snow!
-Tupperware! (Side panels) Whoever coined that one nailed it.
Over all I am very pleased. No regrets!
I will update again after turbo and clutching dialed in.

Welcome to the forums!
It sounds like you are dialing it in pretty quickly.
The power plant is great, so I think the clutching or gearing options can make it perfect for anyone willing to do it.

Good Post, hear a few of these newer 12/13 thousand sleds complaining about top speed stock, for that kind of money I would look like the OLD LADY on the big O tire commercials throwing tire through dealership window, sure keeps me loving and appreciateing my 2003 RX1 (pure stock) can guarantee there AINT a 600 born that will pass me unless I let them.
Safe riding to all.

Nice sled, like you im coming off a Skidoo but i had a 2012 XRS 600. I have a SE package in blue. I did keep the XRS too. However im not sold on the sled quite yet. Its fit and finish is good, but Yami/Cat still lacks rear suspension, its top speed of 85 mph is kind of a joke even not broking in yet. There isnt a 600 on the market that wont do 95?? I think this yami is solid starts good and will be a good sled but overall for 13,000 my 2012 skidoo rides better, handles way better, gets over 20mpg, is alot faster, and is 50 pounds lighter? I just love the look of that viper so i gave it a shot, and will keep plugging away till i get it the way i wait it to ride. im not bashing it, i just expected more from this sled and the vast reviews on it. i sounds alot better than the doo!! best and safe ridding to you guys!

Great post! They are not perfect out of the crate, but you have more to work with than most! And yes the LE color pattern is a head turner, I love mine!Spring ordered a 2015 ltx Le

Well with the mono skid in mine I would let you read my snow flap it says #2 on it, to bad that 1 sled setup wasn't best at everything, oh but then there would only be 1 sled made, if I could only be 58 again, At this stage of life I just enjoy ridding (not racing), but. It's still fun hitting a 100 quick on straight shot, ride safe and remember there is always a faster gun out there.Very true, but on a twisty/bumpy trail you won't even see my tail light! Lol
