Hey everyone
I am installing a 2 inch notched challenger track on my 2012 XTX and need some help with gearing and clutching. I ride mostly in the Midwest and 75% on trail and the rest off trail. What is the best set up for gearing and do I need to get a clutch kit or tweet the stock set up. The rest of the sled is all stock except excell wheels in the skid. Any help would be great.
Thanks

Last year I put a 2" x 151 track on my 2009 XTX with the tunnel protectors removed, (did that after the first winter) to go out west, i changed the top gear from a 21 tooth to a 19 tooth and changed rivits, it worked just ok out there and got me bye but should have went with a ulmer clutch kit, but for MN up north its works good, top speed went down to 90 or so, not sure this helps

I'm geared the same as Brad with the 19 top. Works well flatland and out west. For clutching I went with Schmidt Bros kit. The weights are simple nuts and bolts that go into the stock weights so it is very easy to remove them to head out west. In fact that is the only thing I change to head to the mountains.
I've been running this set-up with a 136x1.75 and I'm going to 144x2 this year and I'm not expecting to have a problem working with the new set-up.

I dropped down to a 20 top. With clutching, intake, and exhaust, didn't loose anything on top end and takes off very well. Went to Ulmer for a clutch kit.
