gearing, clutching help wanted asap please.

Mtx's also have a 39 degree helix compared to his rtx with a 43 degree. But this shouldn't keep it from getting full shift. Maybe it needs more weight in the clutch and different spring twist in the seconsary

so after further inspection, no it is not completly stock. it has a orange silver orange spring in it, which is a higher spring rate then the stock yellow silver yellow. i will be putting it back to stock and see what it does. the helix was at 2-6(80 degrees) with the stock 43 degree helix, and stock pink spring. the primary weights are also stock according to the service manual with 2 big weights and a small weight. from 30km/h when you hold it wide open it goes to 8550, then falls to 8200 and pulls its self back up to 8500. service manual says it should be 8750.

Did you talk to the main mechanic in Yorkton. I know they don't like to help at times especially if you bought your sled somewhere else but Harley is usually pretty good with his clutch set up. My MTX 162 will pull 90 mph on the groomed trail and 70 to 75 off trail i think. Like most guys say off trail and I don't look at the speedo very much. My sled has different weights then you but I am running a 43* helix instead of the 39 stock helix. My sled is piped with a Hindle exhaust system . My wife's stock MTX 153 is pulling a 45* and the sled is pretty well stock, just a Super-Q pipe.
