- Bought a new 05 Vector which I still have
24K miles
I'm thinking about putting a pivot riser on my 14 Vector LTX. I want the h'bars to be closer to me, especially on sharp turns. I find that I have to stretch my arms too far. It just has never felt right.
Has anybody ever done this and what did you think? I could probably change the stock riser to something else. But I know > < about risers.
Any thoughts out there?

I have a powermadd 2.5" power riser 325 on my '08 Vector LTX GT. Puts the bars perfect for me, with no need for cable extensions.

Is the 08 chassis the same as the 14? I'm not sure.
It's not height I need, I need the bars closer to me....or want to try them closer to me.

Thanks RG!
I ordered a Powermadd Pivot Block Riser Conversion Kit and a 4" riser. I want to be able to get the bars closer to me. Will see how it works.

2.5" PowerMadd Pivot Riser on top of the stock riser. I used this on a 07 Phazer, 07 Apex GT, and 12 Apex XTX. Exact same riser worked on all sleds with no extensions. If you put it on top, it allows you to keep the nice chrome ring around the bottom.
Since it's a pivot, you can use it for height, or to get the bars back a bit, or a combination of both. The throttle cable will need to go under the bar. It's an easy job, and comes out of the fun flipper. So there is no need to remove it from the other end. Pop it out of the handlebar assembly, re-route under, and put it back in place. Your stock handlebar pad will still fit as well.
Good luck!
PS: the Pivot for Yamaha is narrower, so don't buy just any of hte 2.5" pivots. Get the yamaha specific one. And it's cheap. Like $50-$60 shipped. Yamaha version is a bit more narrow than the pic below.
