2003 Rx1 Bar risers and apex seat help

I'm looking to do a rox pivot riser, most likely the 3 1/2" I was going to get the rx1 mountain throttle cable and a longer break line. What will i need to do with the parking break cable? Also I want to put an Apex seat on it, i know you have to cut the gas tank cover but thats about as far as i've looked into it. Does anybody have any advice or see any problems with this? Will the wires be long enough?


Upgrades so far: 13mm sway bar, longer links, 1.25 Ripsaw.
Anything else i should look into? trying to make it a comfortable/aggressive trail sled. Those upgrades so far have made a world of difference.

yes you have to do the park brake cable unless you remove it. you also need the choke cable. i have a 4" powermadd on mine and the wires are fine for legnthe. brother has a 04 war with 6" of rise and he has just enough wire with the bars rolled ahead.

Didn't even think about the choke cable. I'll probably save this for the offseason.

what year apex seat will fit on a 03 rx-1? im looking to do a seat upgrade and am debating what way to go. is it hard to find a apex seat?

any apex seat will work on an 03 rx. Just need to cut it up 3-1/2 half inches in center to nothing on sides. check out the sticky for the entire job. Simple to do and one of the BEST improvements you can make to that sled! Many guy sellin on here right now. check out the mountain sec too.

Check out the Snowest forum classifieds too, I found mine there. Thge seat from a Apex MTN will be firmer that the other Apex versions.

Did the exact set up on my 05. All i needed was the Rx-1 Mountain throttle cable. Everything else was fine. Three years running it that way. A must do.
