I bought a 13 mm pioneer sway bar for my 2003 rx1. I know I need the bushings but do I need the links too? I have the longer links that yamaha put on under warranty but the 13 mm sway bar doesn't fit on the links. Do I have too buy the links from pioneer also? Thanks for the help

sway bar

the 03 came with a bar that was step on the end,s and allso the link,s had this step built in as well to match. so in order to install the larger bar you will need new link,s as well to fit the new bar this is on the 03,s only . any link,s from 04 and up will work . i did not need any new bushing,s to install my bar as they stock bushing,s fit just fine . hope this help.s .john :flag:

The stock bushings WILL NOT FIT!!! You definitely need the 04+ bushings, which are MUCH thinner (because the bar is much THICKER).

So to answer the full question; yes, to put on a bigger bar, you need bar, bushings, AND links (but not the dogbone).

bushing

i guess all of the ones that i have changed must have been built on a differt line than yours . because the ends are 13 mm and 10-11-12-13 mm in center ie from the bushings surface in and i even got my new ones from the same place as every one else on this site. ow well my bad . :flag:

bar

two 03,s one 04 and one 05 the only thing that had to be changed were the links on the 03,s to fit the bar ends as the new bars do not have that wonky step on the splind end thats all . :flag:
