Now that we finally have some snow here I can put some miles on my new to me Warrior! I ride southern Minnesota trails and ditches so its across bumpy corn fields with minimal sharp turns, I dont really need the sled to rail, but I want to help the push in the corners. I am running stock skis, which I know are terrible, but new skis are not in the budget this year. Here is what I am thinking for a suspension setup for my sled,

Limit straps at 15mm (since ive given up on the idea of pulling the skis off the ground :o| )

Big shock at full preload and FRA (I think thats what its called) on the stiff setting, (I weigh about 250-255 all dressed up and ride pretty hard through the bumps)

Transfer rods at max transfer

Not sure where the clicker is at, havent really messed with it yet

I have a couple questions about some other adjustments,

For the small rear shock, I have heard to not have any preload? What will be effected if I put preload on it?

The front shocks have me a little stumped, I have also read that these should be adjusted so the a arms are parallel? Will this make them too soft and bottom in the rough stuff?

Wondering if this is going in the right direction or if Im completely wrong? Let me know your suggestions
Thanks in advance,
Nick

front shocks sound right.

front rear shock, you want to be able to turn the spring by hand but it should be stiff to turn.

rear shock, set fra to middle or soft and adjust the spring tension untill you are at 50/50 on the transfer rods with you sitting in the riding position.

clickers, i have no idea. after you get the springs set right you should play with them to get it to ride how you want.

i have olins on mine but with the springs set how i said above, mine rode pretty good with stock clicker settings. on the whooped out trails i usually stand up at the rear of the running boards to make it ride better/bottom less.

With weight off the sled front shock in skid 1/16 to 1/8" gap, set for more transfer(set like this makes it ride uncoupled longer in the rear stroke) after this front a arms parallel. For rear spring when you sit on it rear bumper should drop 1-1.5"(this was how my viper with same skid is set and now how maim's old warrior is set)

After messing with it I could never get it to perform the way I wanted to. Tomorrow im going to pick up a 136 mono for cheap!
