The Sled is a 2004 RX1 Warrior with 1500 miles. I am going to the big "D" and the soon to be X-wife wants half of what it is worth. I don't have to sell it, just give here half the value. She is aware I paid $8,600.00 for it last year.

Any suggestions on a price I can throw at her? :moon:

Thanks,
Warrior

If this is a friendly negotiation - then I think you could just look for comparable sleds in the newspaper or check NADA, or Kelly Blue Book online.

www.nada.com

www. kbb.com

NADA does not have info on 2004's and I think KBB usually runs a little high (in my experience). The KBB retail for a 2004 Warrior in my zip code is $8190 the trade in on a 2004 Warrior is $5905.

Good Luck!

The book price and what they give you are two different things. In your case, I'd get the lowest price to prove what a loss you took. Here in Wisconsin used sleds are really cheap because we haven't had the good snow in several years. I'd go with trade in value and not retail value. Just go with what makes you feel better.

When you said "going to the big D" I thought you were moving to Dallas. :D
Sorry about your situation though :(

Make sure you tell her how badly these tanks depreciate and lose over half their value the first year, so $4 grand sounds about right which would net her 2 8) We need a emoticon with a smiley simply winking............

Tell her you wrecked it and it is only worth $20.00. I think that is crap you having to give her half of what it is worth. Good luck. The bid "D" is no fun.

Trailer the sled to a few dealers, and get a quote in writing, and go with the lowest quote. I found a bass boat in a creek w/trailer attached once. It had a note attached, it said "going through a divorce, I will never let the bitch have my boat. The title is in glove box, its yours." I pulled it out and parked it in the driveway to wash it off. Sherriff drove by and saw it, and later took it (owner did not sign the title). Just my luck.

Sure, his name and address was on the title. But the dumbass told the wife what he had done, and the sherriff was out looking for it. I didnt have a choice since the title wasnt signed over to me. DAMN

Thanks guys, I'l let yo uknow how I make out. Mighty, I was leaning toward the 4 grand price myself ;)! , but I will pickup a a news paper and see if I can find one to compair it to.

Thanks Again,
Warrior

I don't know about where you guys live but here in MT you can't get a divorce without lawyers being involved (Co-worker just got one). His Ex's lawyer got ahold of a property list and got their own values for the eqipment (boat, truck etc...) and told him what they wanted for cash. Good luck to you on getting her to bite on the $4000 value thing.

I have went through a divorse with children involved and have went through 3 lawyers until I found a good one. I learned the hard way but the one thing I have found, is that it definately pays to have a good lawyer. One that knows the commissioners and judges in your area. With my last lawyer I have been able to get custody of my 7 y/o daughter that lived 1500 miles away. So, make sure you have a great lawyer and you should be good to go.
