2005 RX-1 with 136 Expert X - TRACK CLEARANCE HELP!

Ordering a 136 Expert X kit and was reviewing some of the TY articles on the expert, and it said they had to use tunnel protector extensions when using studs.

That article was written with a 03 sled with a .900 track. My sled is a 05 with a 1.25 track, extrovert drivers, and I would like to run studs.

What will I have to take into consideration to do this?

136 expert

I had a 04 with a 136 expert. I Ran 162- 1.342 rotien hornets down the center in my ripsaw track. I did not add any tunnle protectors. I never had any problems. Your also not going to need those extrovert drivers. You will not have any problems with ratching with that skid. I don't know ware your getting your skid from but before you install it. I would have aron form excell motor sports revalve the shocks. It will be worth the money. Bovin does not have very good valving. Other then valving from bovin it is a greate skid.

I totally agree with 136Mono, I love the skid and I am very happy with it. My only complaint after 2K miles is the shocks do need to be revalved. I had it done at the beginning, but they need a whole lot more. Aaron is the guy you need to talk to. I am having mine redone this Fall.

Boivin supposedly has a different setup for the RX-1 if the owner requires a heavier than normal setup, free of charge at the time of order.

the problem is not a bottoming thing. It is more of a kick you in the butt thing. I was very happy with the work that aron did, Night and day difference the ride was awsome after the revalving.

I have the same compaint, when you hit a big whoop, the rebound will almost through you over the handle bars. I am having mine redone. I guess to each their own. It might take a couple of times to get it to my liking. As far are bottoming out, it only happened once and now I have the quick adjuster nuts on the main shocks so I can adjust that out in the field.
