Expert x Questions.....

Also smaller drivers are going to, somewhat, change your final drive ratio... meaning your track speed will slow down but your torque will increase.

2" should fit in the front withOUT changing the drivers, IF you grind off the heat exchanger protectors from the front heat exchanger.

I would not run the 9 tooth with a 2" track. You most likely will have to remove your tunnel protectors.

... It is GOOD to remove tunnel protectors, therefore there is no issue. Tunnel protectors are extra WEIGHT and hold on to ice. Their ONLY purpose is for protecting things from metal spikes that some people like to spoil their sled with.

Hey thanks guys for the info... so whats the final verdict the drivers that came off the sled i bought the set up from was 9 tooth..... i didnt want to buy anything else but if i have to i will dont want to do it twice!

so can i run the 9 tooth im not going to stud and will remvoe the protectors.

thanks jdp

There is not enough clearance between the track and the front of the tunnel. Measure your clearance as your sled sits now, then add the difference in lug height. You also need room for the snow to make it around that corner.

Change of plans im going with a 1.5 track with no studs. do i still need to run the 8 tooth or can i just run the 9 tooth.

thanks jdp

Thanks will i have to remove the tunnel protectors? i know the 2" track looks bad @#$ but i probably spend a little more time on the trails and with the 151 ill get better flotation off the trail.

Thanks jdp

Thanks Im getting ready to install and just dont want to have any after thoughts.

RXPAT did you have to remove just off the front exchanger or tunnel too? Also i noticed some of my heat sheild have some cracks in them should i worry about them? take them off? try to fix them?

thanks jdp

Dave at Hurricane did my supercharger and track install, I know for a fact he had to remove the protectors form the front exchanger, not to sure about the tunnel (sled still there). I wouldn't worry about sheild's, I don't have them any more with the excell pipe

thanks let me know if you find out about the tunnel protectors i guess ill pull them but if i dont have to ill leave them in. im never going to run studs so i guess it doesnt matter.
thanks jdp
