1568 miles
Today we had the best trail ride so far this year. 233 miles worth of well groomed trails. Ty members wilson and smokey made it out.
Old smokey thought he might challenge the XRS to a race but the RX-1 went down. I have to say I enjoyed it because smokey used to love to beat up on my 05 600 HO. I'm sure this will speed up his purchase of an Apex and/or a turbo.
I kept track of mileage and oil use for this ride to check some numbers. If my math is right I got 11.5 MPG (US) or 14 MPG (CDN). Not bad numbers for a 2-stroke 800!

I like this picture of the ski-doo hut better.
Very jealous of the miles you have logged this season.
It was a great ride. Conditions were fantastic. Trail lunch. I now have 1147 miles for the year. Yes the RX1 went down to the Ski Doo XRS. Only lost by about 1 1/2 sled lengths. Not bad for a tired RX1 with 8,000 miles. I had a second race with an 04 F7. Dead even could not call a winner. I won't mention the race with Jeff.

Well I've checked my fuel/oil ratio again and got the same result both times I've done it....33:1. So even though this sled gets 14 MPG it's costing me a lot of money in injector oil.

I'm guessing there are a lot of you wondering why a Ski-doo guy is spending time posting on a Yamaha site. Well the truth is I'm a closet Yamaha guy. I'm a big fan of the Yamaha 4-strokes, but they just don't make a sled that is right for me....yet.
I tend to...well not crash, wipeout would be a more fitting term. What I love about my X-RS is that the thing is tough as hell. You can roll this sled over (in snow) and not hurt it. This is not true of all Revs but the XRS had the same bars and controls off the 440 sno-x sled...so they are ugly but hard to break.
I unload my sled from my truck by just pulling it out of the box. Well one time I was too close to our other vehicle and had to step to the side...one ski came off the tail gate before the other and the sled went right over on it's side (on concrete.) After I stopped crying I flipped the sled over and there was no damage at all....I could not believe it. If I had done that with an Apex I'm thinking it would have cost me some $$$.
The phazer is really close to what I'm looking for. I rode one this year and loved it. As soon as they have one with more power and a bit stiffer suspension then that's the sled for me. How about a consumer version of that Yamaha sno-x sled...that would be sweet.
So thanks for not bashing when you read my mileage log but feel free to poke fun all you want I won't be offended.

No problem buddy, you know you are welcome on this site.
There was a good article in SnowTrax on the BRP and the XRS. They talked about how BRP made the XRS pretty close to the actual racing sled except for some stronger welds in the chassis. So I can understand why it takes a beating.
I guess you have to wait and see the Yamaha line up in a couple of weeks to see if they upgraded the hp on the Phazer chasis.
