Hard to believe my Apex is entering it's 4th season! I was thinking about battery life. So far no problems, but I was wondering how long I can expect the battery to last. I ride in Quebec and the mornings can be down right brutal. Have any of you replaced your battery yet?

I would think that if you keep it hooked up to an Optimate when you are not using it that it should have at least a few more seasons left in it.

Just replaced the battery on my '06 Attak. Still started the sled, peace of mind for me.

most batteries last a while when there kept charged good. thats why i'm keeping booster cables w/ me for mine.

Keep in mind that "charged well" does not mean leaving a standard battery charger or "tender" connected for any duration of time. This will lead to premature failure.
Get an Optimate and connect it whenever you are not using the sled for an extended period of time. This will ensure maximum battery life.
If you ever have a battery that has been allowed to become completely discharged and consequently has become sulphated (won't accept a charge), the Optimate can usually restore these batteries. Pays for itself the first time you are able to save an otherwise junk battery

Unless abused, it should last about 8 years, about the same as a typical automotive battery.
