I bought the sled from an engineer who had his pride and joy in this sled. I was told by him that there is a light weight crank shaft in the sled similar to the 2011 so I can't confirm if it is a 2011 crank. As for the clutch I know it's an ulmer stage stage 2 but not sure what the exact setup is? Ive never seen the clutch stock as I am pretty sure you are asking about weight and spring setup? I can snap a picture of it perhaps you can see the setup that way?
He is 200lbs with gear I am 230 with gear I will definitely video a race next ride which will most likely be Friday and post the YouTube link here. The River is nice and flat now.

Ahh, I was just thinking to put a crank in an Apex motor is pretty darn extensive. I can't imagine how many parts would be lying on the workbench tearing one of those motors down.....not to mention getting it back together properly.

I think he had it done and paid for it this guy had a really nice house and his garage was surrounded by his sled he seem to have put money into this 06 as oppose to buying a new 2011 at the time so I think he did what he needed to do to be close to the new ones. Wife issues I'm sure, I am still in contact with him I should email and ask him to give me more details on what exactly he had done to the sled what setup and who did it.

Could it be confusion from the RX-1 to the Apex cranks? It was part of their marketing campaign to mention the weight savings in the lighter crankshaft going from the carbed engine to the FI.
Excellent videos, its nearly impossible to find anyone with an 800R willing to race....

I don't think so but it might, At this point I am happy with the sled so I am not too curious to find out. I'll have to call previous owner and find out since he wants to ride with me anytime I go north Quebec.
