I just did the complete bushing kit on the front end of 2006 apex GT (WHAT A PAIN IN THE #*$&@!!!) and the sled wont start now. Sled had been sitting all summer in my trailer and it started right up when I went to drive it into my garage to do the bushings. After bushing job was completed won't stat. Battery is not dead, lights come on on the cluster, and I can hear a click at the relay underneath the right side of the air box and the starter is not turning over. Any ideas on what I could have done to cause this. It's obviously something I did. I was genital with the wires when removing the battery tray to access the blots.

Batteries can crap out that fast, check the voltage of the battery. Not a true test but a good place to start. It needs to be load test to actually check it out. I talked to a Yamaha service mech a couple of years back and he said that the battery should be charged at the beginning of the season with a good charger and a couple of times through out the season to ensure it is fully charged. The charging system has a hard time charging the battery when it gets low due to the electrical demands place upon it.

Double check the connection from the starter soleniod to the starter. The "clicking" sound you hear should be the soleniod. It has a white square connector on it with three wires and there are fuses mounted on either side of the white connector.
You can also hook up a known good battery via jumper cables to rule out if the battery is good or not.

these apexs suck to get at those fuses you have to taake the aibox off just to get at the which means taking the headlight pod off to access the bolts for the clamps on the intake boots

Its not hard to do , just a bunch of steps ...there has been a few guys this season with this non-starting issues ? Yes you should do what Tbay Sledhead and steiner said.
