Bent the handlebars on my 2006 and was looking at putting the 1 pc 2007 bars on- if I buy the 2007 grip heaters is it a plug and play deal? I looked at the 2 posts in the FAQ section and wasnt 100% from that info.
Thanks
Thanks

It's been a loooong time since I did that swap. If memory serves, you had to use different electrical plugs for the 07 bars or you wouldn't get much heat. The plugs change the heating units from serial to parallel as the 07 units have a higher resistance. Unless you have the crossover plug you probably won't get enough heat.
Conversely, the crossover plugs with the 06 grips produced A LOT of heat. It's still the arraignment I use to this day.
I don't have a p/n for the crossover plug and do not know if it's still available.
Maybe somebody else will chime in.

Thanks- That explains the extra plug that was in the drawing in the one post pinned in the FAQ post at the top.

The updated sub lead changes the 06 bars from series to parallel wiring making the 06 grips alot hotter due to the lower resistance. If memory serves me right I believe you want to stay around 3.50ohms. I think "07 grip heaters are 7.xxohms. When these grips are wired in parallel the circuit will drop into the 3.xx range.
In short grab only one of the leads from the 06 and wire that to both of the 07 grips.
