Can someone tell me what the tensions should be on the track? I know with my 08 Nytro you hang 22 pounds or about that from the track and you measure the distance from the skid to the track until its somewhere in around an inch (not sure the exact right now). Someone please help with that distance the the pull weight? Thanks!

Screw the weight method.
1" of sag with weight is WAYYY too tight. Yamahas stupid track tension specs are alot of why people have hyfax wear issues.
Suspend the track off the ground, and adjust until you have at least 1 1/8-1 1/4" of free sag.
You could even go looser & not fear ratcheting. I run 1 3/8" free sag on my '06 APEX GT, and it doesn't slip.
I run 1 3/4" free sag on my Vector, although it has extrovert drivers, so I can get away with it.

That's what we did last year (had a little over an inch slag) and the thing kept slipping. We tightened it a bit and then the hyfax were sticking and shot.

Going to try that on my Vector, just installed the skid yesterday and I have exactly 1" which I thought might be plenty but I am going to bump it down another 3/8's.
Thanks Catman

When I picked up my new sled (Vector LTX) the dealer had is set for 1.5 -1.75" of free sag (no weight). There is enough track hanging down that when I raised up the rear with the lift stand that the track is still touching the traction bars on the trailer.
