was running great I was fixing the wiring for headlight now it wont start has a code 12 crank sensor do they just go like that or it something I did checked all fuses all good it doesn't look like a bad job to change stator is there an easy way to test crank sensor ?

Yes they go just like that. Disconnect the 2 wire plug coming from the stator ( gray and black wires) resistance should be 445 to 545 ohms at 68 deg F. gray on positive, black negative.
