code 12 on 06 apex

says it crank sensor circut is it the startor or the cam sensor on valve cover, before was able to start when code 12 flashing with starting fluid now thats not working, any help would be great

Exact same problem. My is at dealer. Said they checked everything. They said they talked to the Yamaha techc and told them to reset all of the codes and recheck the crank sensor. Everything I am told checks out fine. Am I being getting BS. Picking up the sled tomorrow night with a good size bill i am sure.
