This year I noticed my lower a-arms were chipped up. I'm guessing salt, hard ice must have caused it. I would like to remove them and get powder coated. Is it a big job to remove both lower a-arms? Thanks for any help.

Here's a DIY that will walk you through it. Not bad just takes time. It would also be a good time to replace you bushings in the A-arms.

If you decide to do it let us know how involved it was and post some pictures if possible. Mine are in need of new paint but too lazy to tear apart sled especially in the summer when i can chill on boat and knock down a few cold ones.

Its not too hard of a job to do---Took mine off a few years ago and it took a little over an hour. You gotta take almost all the plastics of the sled including the nose and take the airbox off to be able to get to the lower A-arm bolt and nut. Anyone with basic mecanical skills should have no problem doing this job. Sorry don't have pics though.

May be able to get some pics up tomorrow- sled is currently a arm less. Powdercoating is done and ready to go back together this weekend....but we haven't put the oilites in yet- could be tricky.
Took my dad and I quite a while but we took our time and really don't have a ton of experience working on the sleds...we will see if it goes back together haha...

For what is worth make sure you clean or sand out any left over powdercoat that are on the arms where the new bushings go. This will make it easier to get the bushings in.
