Hi,
I have a 2008 Apex gt that is extended to a 144" with tipped up rails, has slidekicks ice scratchers mounted on the skis, and I destroyed a set of brand new Graphite Sliders in 600 km. My track tension was set fairly loose as I have extroverts, and we rode half trail for the ride. I am wondering if I should be looking at different wheels, or different sliders, or should I be drilling holes in the slides? Any input is appreciated, I have done a lot of searching with no real ideas of what to do. Thanks.

Have to ask, were you riding on snow? If so either bigger wheels or there is a kit that lowers the stock wheels

Pioneer sells the kit to lower wheels for ~$100 or so.

fix on the way
pioneer performance is coming out with a new bracket to lower the idler wheels 2 mm for next winter, also install the new dupont sliders and wheel kit for next year and you should be fine, new sliders are getting great reviews, they have vespal installed in the slider to make them last longer, for now just run the track loose and keep changing the stock sliders if you are doing alot of miles between now and the end of the season. you can read my post on how to change the sliders without removing the skid if you want, take about 1 hour and minimal tools required
