I saw three Yamaha 4 Strokes for every sled of another OEM during my week in Quebec two weeks ago. If you a trail riding weight is not bad thing at all. Especially high speed trail riding, it only add stability. I can understand powder riders wanting a light weight sled, but for trail riding Yamaha RULES Quebec and apparently does well in New Brunswick as well.
this yamaha was my first sled ive personally owned so it was my frist time really out there doing some riding. My friends ride ski doo or F7's. When the found out i looked at yamaha naturally i heard weight this and weight that. The other thing they said was oh blah blah when your out there you dont see that many of them so if you have a problem there is no one to ask. When i finally got out there riding i saw a ton of 4-strokes. They also told me their F7's and 800 doos were killing the apexs by like 6-7 sled lengths. Again once i was out there my sled was right next to my friends clutched, piped, canned F7 with a head and my friends highly modded 800 doo couldnt pull away to hard from a roll up to about 100. Point to my story........i know now that wat they told me was exagerated bs and my yamaha is comfortable fast and reliable.
