Hey everyone I'm new to this Yamaha 4 stroke stuff but i just bought a 2008 nytro with mcx 270 turbo kit with a 162 well anyways I took it out to the lake and was racing around mad overheat light came on the snow conditions weren't the best like 3in of hard stuff so I took it home looked it over and saw that some coolent came out the overflow hose just figured it was just from overheating because of snow conditions then I also found a little leak by a hose clamp so i fixed that then added some coolent because I lost some not a lot then took it for a ride which was like 4 miles down a plowed road each way and no overheating came back and checked overfill house and some came out but no heat light. Just wondering what it could be I read on here that some ppl keep the overfill bottle pretty empty or could it be my cap not holding pressure and sending it to the overfill tank or could it be the damn headgaskt???? Please help!!

Its a 162" sled.. Its not for lake racing or road running for starters. Esp in poor snow conditions.

The track on this sled has such tall lugs that it won't provide lubrication to the slides or much cooling to the heat exchanger when in low snow conditions. It also prevents studding the track witch would help with that. The nytro has a tendency to get hot enough to trigger the light in warmer riding conditions an less than optimal snow conditions as it is without added heat exchangers or cooling. I think the small amount of coolent could be either you had to much in tank or it just splashed through the hair with bumps or something might have even been residual inside the overflow line that finally dripped out. And like stated before. This is the short track section. The mountain section can offer you more help with your sled
