How hard is it to relocate the break light?

Easy to relocate, remove the rear reflector and the light screws right in the same rivet holes. I added some length to the wires and ran the wiring under the tunnel through some pex tubing. It doesn't need to be that complex though, I was bored and did that early this fall.

I relocated also but used the grote light. Just so you know the light relocated on the back of the tunnel gets covered in snow dust and riders behind you will complain it's not visible. Plan on wiping it clean at each stop to give them some visibility to the relocated light.

Some people complain about my Knight Rider light. I wanted a Grote but I wasn't paying the price I was quoted in town $75. What they don't understand is that I rarely use my brakes, I used the sleds engine break 90 % of the time. More times I have people ride way to close at night for any size of brake light, I just tell them to back off or lead one or the other. At night I always look for the sleds headlight area that is lit up, I never depend on seeing a brake light (Snow covered). I judge my distance from that and ride accordingly. Night time is not the time for hot dogging or riding someone's bumper, it's just asking for trouble.

X2. I'm paying much more attention to the headlights at night than brake light when riding at night which for me isn't too often. With the black cover off the stack light, it is quite bright too. Using the factory part was simple and obviously free. Some people complain about my Knight Rider light. I wanted a Grote but I wasn't paying the price I was quoted in town $75. Probably just get the saddle bags from Yamaha. For overnight trips. Thanks for some ideas. A lot of crafty ideas!
