2009 Viking Professional erratic idle

For a long tome now my 2009 VK professional will start and the high idle engages when it is a cold start. As soon as the warm up light goes off the engine drops down to low idle. All is good. I go for a ride and the engine gets warmed up and when I pull over the fast idle is back on and if you sit there for a while sometimes it will drop down to low idle and sometimes not. If it is on fast idle, you have to shut it off to engage reverse gear. No amount of idle adjustment helps. Suggestions?
