Just curious, are the new and supposedly improved handwarmers on the new 2010 models any better? New owners please comment.

Picked up my new sled last night but have not tried it yet. They said, much better. I asked about having the heating coils in the pinky area and they said it was still there but I've read otherwise.

I ride last weekeed and it was veray cold with good wind. -15C And I put the digital at half for handwarmers. Its very warmer than 2009 and older.

My 2006 handwarmers have been adequate since new. The only problem is that they are really cold (painfully cold) for the first 10 minutes of riding. After that, they warm up and keep my hands comfortable for the rest of the trip. I rode on Thursday of this week in temps 0-5 degrees and, again, cold for first 10 minutes, then fine.
They never get as warm as my other sleds, and I keep them cranked on high almost all of the time, but my hands are comfortable.

My dad bought a 2010 Vector GT and his handwarmers are as good as advertised! On my Apex I'm running the 06 bars with the updated wiring harness. My dad's handwarmers are easily as warm as mine. I had to turn the grips down to half strength when I rode his sled down a grade for about 20 miles at around 5 degrees F. I couldn't believe how good they worked.

My handwarmers on my 2010 xtx work good also. Even with wet gloves from knocking the snow off the back of the tunnel.
