I was just reading an article on offroad.com about Yamaha's 2010 lineup.
http://snowmobile.off-road.com/

The Nytro will have an 11-degree tunnel change, improved rear suspension calibration, improved handlebar heaters, and boggies with replaceable bearings.

1) How does the 11-degree tunnel change improve the Nytro. Is it just for improved rider ergonomics?

2) Does the improved suspension calibration mean it will be dialed in better out of the box? This one confuses me.

3) Are the improved handlebar heaters a result of better heater elements that may fit my 08 RTX or is it an improved ECU.

4) Replaceable bearings? Never been a big issue for me.

I'm happy with my 08 RTX, I'm not sure if the 2010 Nytro improvements (including the 09 changes) justify dumping my sled for new.

2010 Vector ;)!

id take it as the usual small changes to make the little things better..the shock calibration like you said to be broader range or better right out of the box...tipped up tunnel....handwarmers the way they should have been from the start...to me the biggest change of these three years is the front suspension geometry from 08 to 09...the hanwarmers on yours can be modded and the bearings arent an issue til they are like you said..

I drove the Nytro – 2 years ago at Craighurst…it was evil….then I watched the factory guys run it…..it looked real evil.

This past season at Craighurst…the factory Nytro was the best handling sled on the track….I was near mesmerized watching it come thru the hard stuff….

They won on HP however…they have a few issues that are holding them back from dominating against other factory teams….but…the handling kept them in the game at Craighurst.

I know the guy that built the chassis for them…and his engineering hopefully will show up on the 2010 sled.

I'm just a lowly guy that watches...but...

For you trail performance seekers – this may be a real good sled coming up.

I still like the Apex...however..don't have one...but nice to look at.

What was the deal with the rear skid on the factory race nytro this past season? Also found out on SUPERTRAX website YAMAHA is selecting privateer teams to run the nytro next year.
