Anyone know the life expectancy of exhaust donuts in the 2010 Vectors? I have about 8,600km on mine. At idle I have quite a bit of rattling noise if you stick your ear down by the back of the tunnel. Don't know if it's donuts or just clutch rattle echoing down there. If I plug the exhaust with a rag while she's idling it stalls.

I had the rattle sound around 5500 km it was just loose clamps. I replaced donuts because I had it apart but they were still good. I changed them in my vector this summer just over 6000km, still in good shape, no rattle, did it when I put the WRP seat on.
I guess it depends how long they are good for, I've heard of people saying there was nothing left at similar km.
If you do replace them do yourself a favor and replace with copper gaskets!

If the engine stalls the donuts should still be good. Schmidt Bros. in Michigan sells a VERY inexpensive kit to quiet down the clutch rattle on these engines.

I just checked their site but didn't see it? Fired off a PM so hopefully they still have it and ship to Canada?
Thanks for the info. ;)!
