My history: Several thousand miles on a zr800 cross country & ZRT600.
Rentals: XP 550, Phazer ( several times) and previous iteration of the Venture ( carbed). 5'10" 175.

Rode the venture GT in limited snow conditions for about 100 miles, with my wife. Her first ride in 3 years ( pregnant each of the last 2 seasons)

My Wife loved the sled and said we should buy it - her feet got cold, but she was very comfrotable and hands/body stayed warm.

When I first picked the sled up and was riding solo I did not like the seat, I felt cramped and couldn't stretch out. I don't remember feeling that way on the previous model, but that was several years ago.

Ride/Handling: Went down the trail fine as expected for a 2 up. Never above 40 with my wife on it, turned easily and precisely despite low snow.

Tipping: We took it down a rutted two track and easily got it up on one ski - my wife thought we were going to tip all the way over. I was very uneasy with the tippiness, but this might have had more to do with the lack of snow than the sled. Could be a set up issue?

Motor: WOW! The pull reminded me of the 800 I had, and the smoothness reminded me of my 600. Easily approached 90mph by myself on the railgrade with more left in it. Didn't take time to set the trip meter, but i'm pretty sure we were close to 100 miles for the day, and I put 4.8 gallons of gas in it before returning it. I can't wait to rent the vector now - I expect the vector to be the sled for me.

After renting the Phazer ( which I really liked for the most part, except the lack of top end) I really wasn't positive the Yammies would be the sled I should spend 6-8K on. Now I know for sure! Unless I find a big issue with the Vector after renting it, I think I've decided to focus my savings goals on a Vector LTX GT. 1 or 2 more seasons of renting and then I should be able to buy.

Why not buy the two-up Venture GT for you and the wife? Plus you got kids who will soon be big enough for a ride as well.
Thanks for the review - it's a good idea to test ride before you buy which I am not doing this time. If you research on here you will see that suspension setup adjustments will get rid of most of the tippiness.
