2011/12 Apex - handguards, will PowerMadds fit??

Anyone know whether PowerMadd Star Series will fit a 2011 Apex with stock windshield? I've heard diff stories and the PowerMadd folks don't seem to know. Other alternative is the Skins soft product but I'm not sure I'm going to like the loops over the hooks.

I just put them on my 2012, They just hit the windshield when the bars are turned all the way but not too bad. The throttle side was no problem but I had to move the heated visor port and grind a notch in the hand guard mounting bracket for the parking brake cable on the brake side. On both sides I had to mount the hand guards with the spacer first to get the hand guard over far enough to cover my hands. I also got the mirrors with the hand guards which extends the wind protection a bit.

Very nice Wakattack - thanks for the pics, will save me some time!! Think I'll go ahead and do the same install. Where did you relocate the windshiled plug in - just further down the handle bars?

BTW - nice GPS install. I use a Zumo 770, its great and has a built in MP3 player that connects to built in speakers in my helmet for tunes and turn by turn directions.

My installation is very similar on the throttle side, but on the brake side I moved the brake assy in a bit and mounted the guards outside the brake. My issue was having to file a bit to get the parking brake to have enough travel to stay engaged. Sorry sled is not at my house so I have no pics. Just play with them, they will work. Mirrors are very nice feature.

sk-rx1 - Your way on the brake side might be more gooder. It would allow for a more solid mounting set up. My brake cable works fine and I did not weaken the bracket that much so I will leave it for now.

The Nytro handguards fit as well

Just put a set of Nytro handguards on and they fit pretty well, about half inch of touch at full turn, and doesn't affect anything.
