I am considering buying a 2011 APEX SE, but unsure about the FOX float shocks. I am 6'5" & 300lbs will these shocks work well for me? aggressive trail riding. Just looking for feedback

Hell yeah they should be the best all around setup for you and your type of riding IMO

CR says the SE shocks are not set up for rough trails, at 300 lbs I think you might find them too soft.
I think the XTX would probably suit you better, the power steering will negate any perceived extra steering effort from the long track, and it is 1.4 kph faster on top!

When I got my demo ride the shock was at 200psi (at least that's what they told me) I weigh 230 lbs and I found it way to soft, I don't know if it bottomed out but it felt that way. I watched when others rode it and it really sagged even with smaller riders. The trails were icy and hard but not that rough. The XTX was a far superior ride.

I was told that some of the mega-shocks had the incorrect valving in them from the factory. It was not really the valving, but some "spring".... I know I'm not using the correcf term here.... Not all, but most were wrong and I was assured by Chris Reid, that it was a glitch and would be fixed on the production units. Not good though, because it's hard to see if the SE is truely capable for a heavier rider....

By CR I meant Chris Reid. He wrote that even with the valving that will come from the factory in the fall the SE will not be stiff enough for rough trails or big riders.
You don't want to ride a sled with floats with lots of pressure in them to compensate for weak valving, they will knock your fillings out.
I love the look of the SE though. too bad my campaign for a black XTX didn't work. A black XTX with GYTR clickers on the front would have been about perfect for us big guys.
Now I'm forced with the prospect of buying an $17,300 sled and then spending $1,500 to change colour, and $750 for new front shocks. Not nice, and it's got me looking at alternatives. I know it's a minor point but to me it's like going to buy a Ferrari (comparable pricing given the limited use for these) and finding out you can only get it pink with whitewalls.
This is a premium product and you should be able to get it with simple options like a few different colours(black), shock packages(ohlins all around) and tracks(1.375" Ice Ripper pre-studded), at reasonable upgrade prices.

I rode the 2011 APEX SE & the rear shock was not "working properly" I was told. It was very soft & bottoming out. What is the max PSI for this these Shocks????
PS LOVE the power steering!!!
