Hey guys,

Just installed the 2 speed setup in the apex that I bought from heelclicker and just wanted to discuss results so far. I found that with the setup that had been recommended with the white spring, 1 bolt in the shoulder and the center, that the sled kept reving above peak rpm. So I added 1 washer to the shoulder and my peak rpm is correct now although when you pin it, It is not climbing in rpm, it over revs and then comes back to peak. What factory yamaha springs have you guys been using in the 2 speed to bring down engagement? I think it will help fix the over rev, issue. Thanks guys.

My old Polaris used to do that, RPM would jump 300 past peak then it would shift out & settle at the desired RPM. Pulled like a bat out of hell!
How many RPM you over? How is the performance?

It pulls way harder than factory and it will sometimes redline, if not rev out to around 11 then settle. If I come onto it slowly then it doesn't over rev

you need to add weight to tip to get it from redlining. o-p-o engages at 3500 with roughly the same spring rate as black hc. white spring is hard on the primary. what do you come out of the hole at?

too high out of hole, losing alot to spinning 10,300-10,400 is good. I know it feels like a monster pulling out of hole at 10,600 but trust me youll gain more at a lower rpm of 10,300- 10,400 before shift out. my top rpms the other day i like to see 10,800 but could only reach 10,500. shimmed up the belt the other day so ill see what happens now. might be to warm to test but should help nontheless

conditions are huge, fresh groom, hard packed frozen, -10c trails are terrible for examining rpms. got a lot done when -20c and colder on hard pack, track didnt trench into trail.
